Carol Schroder - LLAM (Speech), LLAM (Acting), PGCA, AISTD, MSTSD

From an early age Carol trained in Drama, Dance and Singing. She worked in professional theatre, television and in cabaret where she produced her own one woman show. During this time she gained her teaching qualifications in speech and drama subsequently teaching at drama schools and colleges including Guildford School of Acting, Grandison College and for 22 years at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts. Carol retired from Croham Hurst School, Croyden in 2007 having relocated to Harrogate, North Yorkshire to be nearer to her family.

As an examiner for LAMDA Carol travels extensively in the British Isles, Ireland and overseas including Europe, Africa, UAE, Singapore and the USA. Carol was the author of "The Discussion" volumes 1 and 2 for LAMDA and has been actively involved in the syllabus for the new Musical Theatre Examinations and contributed to "Musical Theatre - Exploring the World Through Song". She is also a long standing member if the British Federation of Festivals, adjudicating throughout the British Isles and in Ireland, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.

Carol has gained much satisfaction in teaching young children where English is their second language and those with special needs. She also lectures on presentation skills to adults in commerce and is a trustee of the Voice Care Network UK - a charity promoting care of the voice in the workplace.
