Margaret J Smith - LRAM GRSM
Margaret studied piano with Dame Fanny Waterman. She spent 4 years at Royal Academy of Music, London studying Piano & Violin. Margaret has held a variety of teaching posts, culminating in 19 years as Director of Music at prestigious Yorkshire School. She has wide experience at all levels of instrumental and vocal/choral music, coaching individuals and groups to high standard, winning National Competitions and Festivals. Margaret teaches Piano to an advanced level, and gives workshops and master -classes. She conducts chamber choirs, opera and oratorio and she is a Moderator for external examinations in performance and composition. Margaret has been a Music Adjudicator since 1997, with many accolades for excellence of communication delivered with warmth and understanding.
